There are many different things that Taylor Swift has in common with other famous people. For example, she shares the same birthday as Selena Gomez and they both attended middle school together. It is important to note that these two celebrities also share a lot of DNA because their mothers were best friends for years before meeting their fathers who happen to be brothers. Another thing they have in common is extreme talent when it comes to writing music about heartbreak or love lost.
The following list will go over seven more similarities between Taylor Swift and her peers:
-Taylor Swift’s mother was an additional backup singer on “I Don’t Want You Back” by Kelly Clarkson which happened way back when during the early 200s; this song title is representative of Taylor Swift’s breakup with her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas
-Taylor Swift and Katy Perry both have a song on the “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack
-Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez share the same middle school in common (Mueller Middle School) where they were classmates for one year before their mothers became friends while working together as back up singers. The following is an excerpt from an interview that Selena Gomez did which elaborates more about this shared experience, “I would always get dragged to these concerts or clubs because I was really big time into singing at age 12 but she never wanted to go anywhere so we would just stay home all night listening to music.” -Selena Gomez;
-Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato share the same producer in common (Max Martin) who has been involved in the production of all three artists’ albums. The following is an excerpt from a recent interview with Taylor Swift where she elaborates on this shared experience, “Max Martin and I have collaborated together for years now so it’s really cool that him and Shellback are producing my new album.” -Taylor Swift;
-Both Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato were born on November 12th (1989) but they didn’t go to school together at Franklin Regional Senior High School or Interscope Records;
-They both had their first single debut before age 16: Louder Than Words was released when Selena Gomez was 15 while You Belong With Me came out when Taylor Swift was 14; They also both have been nominated for the same Grammy award four times: Selena Gomez has won two awards (Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album) while Taylor Swift has also taken home that prize twice in addition to winning Best Country Solo Performance;
-Selena Gomez was diagnosed with Lupus when she was just 13 years old, which is around the time of her first album release. When you compare their songs about love, it’s no wonder they’ve been friends since 2008: “Love You Like a Love Song” talks about how much she loves him while “I Want To Know What Love Is” is all about loving someone unconditionally;
-Taylor Swift’s debut single on country radio station WYCD Detroit came in 2006 with “Tim McGraw” – the song features a guitar solo from Taylor Swift after she was inspired by Keith Urban’s performance at CMT Crossroads.
-The two are both best friends and have collaborated on many songs together, including: “Love You Like A Love Song,” “Who Says,” “Forever And Always,” (the latter of which is about Selena Gomez) and more.
Selena Gomez has been in some high-profile relationships too, dating Justin Bieber for a few years before splitting up in 2014 and then joining The Weeknd for another year before they broke up this past March; similarly, Taylor Swift had a relationship that famously ended when Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech during an awards show to declare Beyoncé the winner.
-In 2012, Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift were both included in Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people in the world.
Selena Gomez has also been featured on many high-profile covers for magazines like Vanity Fair or Cosmopolitan; similarly, Taylor Swift was one of People Magazine’s “25 Most Intriguing People” last year and is regularly spotted on their cover as well.
