The bards from all corners of the realm have come together in order to share their knowledge and experience with one another, so that others may learn how best to live their lives. One such topic for discussion was whether it is better to sway with the crowd or stick by your own opinion.

This blog post will explore this question further and provide some insight into what opinions are most commonly held on this topic as well as why people might take either side of the debate.”

There are two main reasons why people might take either side of this debate.

The first reason would be an individual’s perspective on life as well as what they feel most comfortable doing when faced with a situation where there is no clear answer due to conflicting evidence; s/he could go whichever way feels most natural to them, and the other side might not be as bad as they thought.

The second reason is that people may want others to listen to them or agree with their opinion for a given situation; there is no clear answer because it all depends on who you ask.”

One thing which many people have found when faced with this question (either in real life or during discussions) is that neither of these options is right or wrong – each one has its own benefits and downfalls, so it largely comes down to personal preference.

Another common point made by those involved in conversations about this topic was how much time must pass before someone changes from being swayed by the crowd into sticking with their original opinion? This can depend on a number of factors, including how strong the crowd is and whether or not there are any other people who still agree with the person’s original opinion.

One more important thing to remember when deciding which course of action to take is that once you’ve made up your mind about something, it can be difficult for others (even those close to you) to sway you back into changing it; this means taking a short break from discussions on a topic if one feels like they’re being swayed by someone else’s opinions.”

“Are we really sure what constitutes as right versus wrong?” – Asked during an informal discussion with a Bard College student

“To sway the crowd or not to sway?” – The question we’ve been asking ourselves since we first stepped foot into Bard.

As our days here wind down, it’s important that we think about what direction will take us on this journey of life after college. Whether you’re someone who embraces diversity and difference in opinion or if you have always stuck with your own personal opinions through thick and thin- let me explain how each one can be so powerful.

We all know that there are different types of people: those who like to agree with the majority (sometimes called “herders”), those who prefer standing alone, and then there is everyone else in between–those who lean towards either side depending upon what they believe.

There are a variety of reasons why people sway to the herd. Maybe they don’t want trouble with their peers, or maybe because it’s just easier that way–so much less energy expended when you agree and go along for the ride. Some might think that standing alone is indicative of being disagreeable–that we all need someone to share our opinion with in order to validate our own thoughts, but I would argue against this idea too- there are many who have found immense comfort and peace from sharing opinions with others instead.

All three types have an enormous amount of value not only in Bard but also in life afterward as well. One thing is certain: if everyone thought exactly alike, then humanity would be stagnant at best (and fatalistic at worst). The balance of different opinions is what keeps Bard and people in it, as well as the world around us all alive.

This type will weed out any negative thoughts or actions to find a more positive future for everyone around them- no matter how big or small their contribution might be. They are not afraid to stand up against injustice because they know that if we don’t do something about it now, then someone else down the line has to deal with its consequences too.
