Tim McGraw’s “It’s hard to say I do when I don’t”

It’s hard to say I do when I don’t lyrics is a song by Tim McGraw. It was released in 1995, and it’s about the narrator not being able to commit because they’re still hurting from their previous relationship. The song has been covered by many different artists on YouTube, but it became popular again after it was sung on American Idol.

Many people have speculated that this is a reference to divorce proceedings between Tim McGraw and his wife Faith Hill. Regardless of what the meaning may be, it is clear that “It’s Hard To Say I Do When I Don’t” lyrics are an important part of country music history!

After our last few encounters, it’s hard to say I do when I don’t.

You were calling me your man and now you’re telling everybody that we are through.

I’m sorry if it hurts but as long as my heart is feeling like this then I can never be with another woman again in the world!

It’s hard for a country boy like me to get over all these memories of us together…down on love row. In fact, nothing feels right without you here by my side. It’s so hard for me not to keep dreaming about what might have been between us two so many years ago.”

The first lines of the song take place during an argument after some time apart from one another.

The country singer is talking about how it’s hard to say “I do” when they don’t.

He talks about the memories of them together, down on love row, and how nothing feels right without her there by his side.

He can’t stop dreaming about what might have been between them two many years ago.

At the end of the first verse he states that even though it hurts, he will never be with another woman again in their world because his heart still belongs to her after all these years apart from one another.”It’s so hard for me not to keep dreaming about what might have been between us two so many years ago.” The song goes through different scenarios where McGraw tries but fails to move on from her

He tells the listener that it is okay for him to still love her like this. He admits that he wants her back and would do anything to make it work but she’s gone because they just can’t find a way after all these years apart from one another.

The song talks about how hard it was for them not being together, even though we’re talking three decades ago, which makes me think there may be an anniversary coming up between Tim McGraw and Faith Hill or possibly their son?

“It’s so hard for me not to keep dreaming about what might have been between us two so many years ago.” The song goes through different scenarios where McGraw tries but fails to move on from her.

McGraw sings, “It’s hard to say I do when I don’t.” The song closes with McGraw singing about how he hopes someday his lover will be coming home soon.

“I’m holding on hope you’re gonna come around,” McGraw sings in the final line of the song before going into an instrumental outro which fades away as we end up hearing once again what seems to be Faith Hill or Tim McGraw Jr.’s baby giggles.

This song is the first single from McGraw’s upcoming album, which does not yet have a release date. It was released in August of 2017 after it leaked to country radio and quickly climbed up charts for 12 consecutive weeks while also topping Spotify’s U.S. Country chart alongside Carrie Underwood’s All-American Girl, Sam Hunt’s Body Like A Back Road, Thomas Rhett’ Life Changes, Florida Georgia Line God Bless The Broken Road as well as other Tim McGraw songs like My Little Girl (a duet with Faith Hill), Better Than I Used To Be (featuring Brantley Gilbert) and Live Like You Were Dying all over again just to name a few gems!

This song is a total rocker about not committing to something that you don’t want to do, and it’s written from the perspective of two people who are living in sin. It has an upbeat tempo with catchy guitar riffs offset by somber lyrics like “I know it ain’t right and I never thought it would be this hard.” The chorus’ refrain – “It’s Hard To Say ‘I Do’, When I Don’t” – becomes progressively more intense as he sings “Gotta keep movin'” before breaking into a heartfelt plea for release: “[We] need somebody out here,” McGraw sings, pleading for someone else to join them in their uncomfortable situation.
