When I’m Away from You: How the Bellamy Brothers Saved My Life

There are many songs that have the power to bring back memories of long-lost loves or evoke a sense of nostalgia for the good old days. There is one song in particular that has played such an important role in my life and helped me through some difficult times: “When I’m Away from You” by The Bellamy Brothers. This song was not only essential to my adolescence, but it also helped me get through some tough times when I was a little older.

The first time I heard the song was in a Wendy’s commercial. This may be surprising, but hearing something so uplifting and sentimental on TV as opposed to just listening to it in my room made an impact on me. Although the lyrics of the song are about being away from someone you love, there is also a message that tells the listener they’ll survive no matter what circumstances life throws at them. It reminded me that while tough times will come along when things seem bleakest there is always hope and happiness waiting for us if we’re willing to look for it.

Every time I hear this song now it brings back memories of those difficult periods where its reassuring words spoke volumes to me; giving me strength despite all odds stacked against me.

Here are the lyrics of the song:

When I’m away from you, my world is so blue without your love. But when we’re together and talking face to face, then everything’s a-okay.”

You have helped me through this life with just one little line in the sand; it took its time but finally found me some dry land.”

And as long as there’s breath in my lungs I’ll keep on breathing for two more hours or ten more days while I wait for that phone call saying ‘Honey, come home.'”

Cause every time we say goodbye it takes all the strength inside of me not to leave today too soon.” “So until that day I’ll say to you, ‘I love the way that we’re together. We are two of a kind.”

When I’m away from you: How the Bellamy Brothers Saved My Life

The song was released in 1979 and has been covered by many country artists since then including The Oak Ridge Boys with Kenny Rogers on their 1983 album “Trouble Bound” and Lonestar who recorded it for their 1996 self-titled debut album.

If the lyrics speak to me as they have spoken to others all these years, there is the reason my heart keeps beating every time we part ways until our paths cross again down the road ahead. As long as there’s breath in my lungs—and even when my body and my mind are gone—love will be the only thing I’ve given.

When You Are Away From Me” is one song out of many on the Bellamy Brothers’ album of the same name.

The song lyrics are about the narrator’s longing for his partner when they’re apart, despite all the miles between them. The song is a beautiful tribute to three decades together: “When you are away from me this day will never end.” The narrators sings that even though he loves her deeply sometimes it doesn’t seem like enough because every time she leaves him she takes a part of himself with her. He knows how much he needs her then reassures her that no matter what happens they’ll always be together in their hearts just as their souls intertwine today. This comes after an earlier verse where the man tries not to blame or judge but can’t help wondering if someone else has the love he needs.

The Bellamy Brothers were cranking out some of country music’s biggest hits in the late 1970s, with a string of top ten singles including “Let Your Love Flow,” “Redneck Girl,” and one of their most well-known songs: When I Get Home (To My Herd). The lyrics tell the story of two cowboys who are discussing how they missed each other during a cattle drive because someone took sick on the trail—something that still happens today. As fate would have it, Dave remembers his friend’s cattle, so he takes the herd as his own.

When I Get Home (To My Herd) is a song about two cowboys who left each other to drive herds of cattle but missed each other because one cowboy got sick on the trail and was unable to continue driving their respective groups of cows across the country by themselves.

Dave remembers Lew’s herd that he had been tending when they met up again later in life, so Dave took them with him since they were not being tended well enough for Lew. The lyrics tell the story of these cowboys’ separation during a cattle drive and eventual reunion many years later due to circumstance – something that still happens today among people all around the world every day.
