Wimbledon 2017 Start Date: Everything You Need to Know

The countdown has begun. Wimbledon 2017 is just around the corner and it’s time to start getting excited! If you have been looking forward to this event all year, then here are some things that you need to know before the tournament starts. One of the most important pieces of information for anyone interested in following Wimbledon 2017 live is when does Wimbledon 2017 start? The answer: Monday, 3 July at 9 a.m., BST/10 a.m. GMT/4 p.m EST/1 p.m PST (or Sunday, 2 July at 6 a.m EST). There are also many other aspects of Wimbledon that can be difficult to keep track of so we will review them below…

When does Wimbledon begin and how to watch online:

The first ball will be hit at 11 am BST on Monday, July the 03rd, so whether you’re waking up early or staying up late it’s important to note when the coverage begins! It is a tradition that BBC One takes over from ITV for three weeks of live TV every summer in order to provide uninterrupted coverage…so make sure your programs are all set before then as there won’t be anything else on television worth watching!

Who are the defending champions at this year’s tournament?

This year’s final saw Andy Murray take home his second Wimbledon title following a long four-set victory against Marin Cilic which ended with him coming from behind to win in straight sets.

What are some of the rules for Wimbledon?

only one serve is allowed per point and it must be made within a box on the court marked with two lines, which has been called “the service area” since 1971. The player can use either his or her hand or racket when serving…and as long as they don’t exceed 14 seconds when doing so! They’re also not allowed to hit into their opponent’s playbox (or anywhere that isn’t part of the server’s own half) during this time

Will Andy Murray defend his title?: while there are many great players who’ll compete at this year’s tournament including Novak Djokovic, Stan Wawrinka, and Rafael Nadal to name a few) Andy Murray is the only one who’s been crowned champion of Wimbledon more than once.

Moral support: while some players might be struggling with their own personal lives or injuries, there are plenty of spectators in attendance to offer them moral support during play!

Tips for attending

when it comes time to attend this year’s tournament here are some helpful tips that will make your experience as enjoyable as possible, no matter where you’re sitting/standing (or if you choose not to sit at all!)

arrive early from parking can take up quite a bit of time This includes arriving around 15 minutes before the match starts so that you have enough time to get through security which can still find a good spot to stand

dress according to the weather, even if it’s just for short periods of time. If you know that there will be rain at some point in the day, take an umbrella and wear appropriate clothing (i.e., not shorts)

pack your own snacks: make sure they are easy to carry around with you so that while waiting for play or during breaks between matches you can enjoy them!

bring enough cash because food is expensive at Wimbledon! In addition, when trying to pay by card beware of “surcharging,” which happens when international cards like American Express charge customers processing fees on transactions made outside their countries of operation. This means the merchant surcharges the cardholder!

get to know the rules of Wimbledon: whether you are a player or spectator, it is important for everyone to respect and understand them.

If you’re a tennis fan, the wait is finally over. Wimbledon 2017 starts on Monday 23rd July when the qualifying matches will commence with two rounds of play to whittle down 128 players from all around the world for entry into 18 different tournaments which are scheduled until Sunday 13th August.

Wimbledon has had its fair share of ups and downs in recent years but this year’s tournament looks set to be one of their most exciting yet. Here we’ll give you everything you need to know about Wimbledon 2017 ahead of it starting next week – including how much tickets cost!
